Have you Noticed conifers turning bronze/red recently?

There are many causes of winterburn from fluctuating winter temperatures, sun, wind, extreme cold, snow reflection.

Don’t worry, the needles will shed in the spring/early summer as new growth appears. It is best to allow the needles to shed naturally- brush them off as they turn brown, fertilize the trees in the spring to give them some support.

We joked about suggesting using ‘tree paint’ to cover the unsightly red needles until the new growth emerges!!
